hi, can anyone tell me if I can fit a safari snorkel 300tdi for ABS on a non ABS disco 300tdi?

Probably, with a bit of extra and/or trimmed pipework. Wouldn't it make more sense to get the right one though?

the air boxes must be the same on non and ABS models

Don't see why you could not fit the snorkel, the main difference between the two is where the air is let into the air cleaner box. On the ABS models you have to move the box sideways, but this is explained on you tube, where there is a video of how to do it.
