Does anybody have any ideas on repairing the fan blower surround.

Mine has suffeed some wrot.

The fan itself works like a dream just need to fix the hole.

Try tin foil and GRP.

I put a few welds in mine, you could use a rivet gun and some off cuts of steel and fill the gaps with body filler. wont last for ever, but see a few years.

depends on what bodge you want stika flex and tin is the cheapest

fibre glassing it will stink

if it is really thin and you can do it without melting other components gas weld or brazing

I used some of the pink fibre-glass type repair stuff Halfords | David's Isopon P38 600ml to convert a defender fan to fit a series and it doesn't smell...well no worse than my arse, diff oil, petrol and all the other land rover smells.

i did the same thing by shoving a bean tin in the square hole riveting the fekker in place then filling it with expanding foam ( worked a treat )
