whats with this 50/50 mix everyone is going on about?? 100% in the summer, 95/5 petrol in the winter and 90/10 petrol when it really starts to get below 0c

i use 2 stroke oil too

my disco hasn't seen DERV in 2 years.

before anyone says that it cokes up injector/valves etc more, i changed the head gasket 2 months ago and everything looked the same as if it had been run on DERV.

Well mine has not had veg oil near it, but at £2.50 for 3 ltr rather than £4.20 or whatever it is I might give it a go with the petrol mix.

Do I need to do anything else or just chuck it in?

Chuck it in and keep a spare filter in the car just in case
