Hey guys,

I just got a Samsung Galaxy S3 for practically nothing when I went with Virgin for my phone, broadband and mobile contract (god they want you to stay with them so bad!!) And because I get unlimited data on the contract I'd quite like to have it in the car so I can use spotify on the go. Can anyone reccomend a good cradle or bracket that would work well in the hippo?

Dunno about the cradle but I used a Brodit mount to fit my cradle to. Have used them before on the P38 and Er Indoors Vectra. They are made specifically to fit all car models, are easy to fit and there are no drill holes needed. The one for the Hippo clips onto the heater control panel and the console side panel.

I just picked one up on ebay, it's just like a GPS mount and sticks to the windscreen . So I can use it for navigation aswell, though I'm not sure how much I trust google maps just yet, we'll have to try it out!

I would have thought Google Maps are more reliable than the old Satnav (Factory fitted) but don't know how they stand up to the likes of TomTom or Garmin.

Oh and by the way....I'm a happy boy ...the F/L flew through the M.O.T. today with a clean sheet :5bparty:

Yes it's probably pretty good by now, 3G is now very fast too which helps. Well done on the MOT !!

I use M8 as a sat nav on my Sony Android, it works really rather well

if you have a iphone jailbreak it and download the tomtom europe app for free its great and never had a problem with it and i just use a mount that stuck to windscreen i got off ebay for £5 delivered

I use my GS2 with the torque app. It hooks up to the OBD 2 port and sends the ECU live data to the phone. It records it to if you like so you can monitor engine temps and fuel trim and all sorts of other useful stuff l. It can even video your drive and overlay the data on screen!! A must have app imo

Just looked and tomtom apps for ios cost from35 to 70 euro !!

Im running the copilot nav app on my un-jb iphone as I got it for free ages ago off free cycle!
