Evening folks,

I fancy a new smaller steering wheel for my 64 plate xs. Does anyone know what other makes might fit with an airbag fitted. I really like the Mercedes wheel with the flattened bottom section but I don't know what will fit.

I had a search but nothing was looking at wheels with airbags.

Just curious - is yours already fitted with an air bag? Reason for asking is - although the wheel fitted to late defenders as standard is "called" an air bag type, it does not have an air bag in it. So you might need gas bottle and electronics etc to control it.

I'm not sure you could ssfely retrofit an air bag system into a vehicle that was never fitted with one.
But l am willing to be proved wrong!
