Hi all ..
After a smaller steering wheel to replace this standard sized one ( f..ng huge !)
It's for a 1984 110 def so I would prob need a boss too ? Cheap as poss please 😉

Got a boss. Steering wheel is no good ( they managed to bend it when I took it back and won't replace. Boss is brand new, never fitted.

i have a 1995 defender 48 spline and minis of the same years have the same fitment or so i lead to belive. so i have a mini cooper one on and it cost me £20 on ebay fitted straight on

Steering wheels are always a bit confusing, If you have the 4 spoke steering wheel as fitted to pre 1991 Defenders they are 36 spline. I had a J reg with a 48 spline steering wheel, if you have a Flat steering wheel with two spokes and plastic Land rover cap in the centre they are always 48 spline and have been used from 1991-current models. There is also more confusion on TD5 county and XS steering wheels as they have the 'lump' in the centre (looks like an airbag but its not) these are also 36 spline steering wheels.

In aprox 2008 Land Rover at last decided it would be a good idea to fit all defenders with 48 spline steering wheels. So now if you source a new XS leather steering wheel you can fit it to a standard Defender.

Hope this makes sense and should help you with what boss you will require either 36 or 48 spline.

I have a mountney sport - all black and circular, unused, but not in a box, with a 36-spline boss - cost me 93 quid from bolt on bits. My wife bought me a momo before I had a chance to fit it.
It looks nice, has moulded grips and is about 14 inches across.
Google 'mountney sport to see images of it'
You can have this for 60 quid including postage.
PM me if you are interested
