Lads,
Lately I've been having a small problem with the stereo. It's an original clarion with the HK set up. Intermittenly I get a "bang" coming through the speakers which results in either the stereo going quiet or the volume increasing substantially. Might it be something to do with the amp & if so what can I do to correct it. The display has faded on the head unit so it's going across to the UK to be reconditioned shortly. Any advice much appreciated.

this issue appears to be getting worse. Usually if i thump the side of the console it'll come back working. Anyone any ideas ??.

Thanks Fanatic, am going to take it out at the weekend & ship it to Roverville in the UK. Display is fading so they might as well change that too & install one of them aux input ports. Seems very reasonable at 125 sterling including return post & a 1 day turnaround

Irish,

Don't send it to them. Go to http://www.clarion-service.co.uk

These guys will fix your problem and install the MP3 input for £100 incl P+P. And I think they say they will turn it round in a couple of days.

Give them a ring.

That's where I am going to send mine when I get round to it.

can recommend clarion-service as have used them before. whatever you send it in for, they say they do a full refurb which is nice. prices seem to have gone up a bit though!
