My 2001 Disco 2 TD5 has had the spring conversion some time in its life - no SLS lights on the dash, button does not try to operate the compressor etc.. So, I've got this extra weight sitting on the N/S chassis rail. Assuming it still works (the compressor) is it a saleable item? How do I go about removing it? My search led to upteen pages relating to air suspension, but non appeared to detail the compressor disconnection and removal from the side of the vehicle.

It comes off easily enough and electrics just unplug, you would obviously need to check that it operates correctly for it to be worth anything though

You can get anywhere from £30 - £100 on ebay depending how desperate people are and how many need one. I got one for £30 to keep as a spare after getting a used one from a breaker for £140.

Thanks guys - how would I test it once it's off the Disco? Just stick a 12v battery on the appropriate terminals?
