Hi, just an update on my 33tdi heater. after it blew the coolant out the thermostat housing bung i decided to change the thermostat quickly. Magic, heater works perfectly. Thanks for all the replies and help. cheers, hairy.
did ya change the bung for a radiator drain valve at the same time?

no, i didn't but i will send for a couple of those red/blue ones from x-eng. cheers, hairy
i got mine from the local plumb-centre - less than £2 each.
