Hi all,Would like to pick your brains please, have a 2001 Freelander diesel auto and its as if the clutch is slipping as it tries to change up in the higher gears or if I try to accelerate again in the higher gears,I know it will have to go to a garage but is there any little ( hopefully ) things I could look for ? thanks.

Only had the car a few months so no idea when the fluid was changed, but had the same answer from a garage who said hopefully it just needs a service, will post on here the outcome, 83,000 miles on clock by the way. thanks for your response.

Well just picked it up from the garage, they changed the fluid etc,but no joy, they would have to remove box and replace "drum" ? looking at £600 or if it needs a rebuild up to £2k, well it is a 2001 so only worth that so ,anyone want a cheap motor????? thanks for your help and interest
