Hi all

After years of engine free problems my baby has developed a small knocking/grinding noise, I've uploaded some clips to you tube, does anyone know what this noise Could be or how to locate? ...

Sounds like a grinding noise that increases with revs...

bearings in the fan maybe, take the fan off and try it again

Take fan belt off and try again, if still there maybe cam belt problems?

Cheers guys it's now located and resolved it's actually 2 things, 1 is the fan, Taken that off and the main knocking is gone, and with that gone I located the tapping and it's the Black cover on the rear of the alternator it seems to be rattling too hold it and it disappears. I'm gonna search and look for a fix for that... Again thanks guys really big help!

The bearings in the A127 alternators arent the best things going, best bet new one.
