Fitted Slickshift on my r380 yesterday great difference to gear change but fifth gear a bit noisy . It has a high pitched squeal sometimes now that was never there before.Anyone got any idea how to get it sorted?

Is the slickshift not letting the remote mechanism slip into 5th properly, I know if you hold the gear stick at a certain point it can make noises...

All the gears select well but fifth just starts to squeal when I get up to about 40 and since I have been trying to adjust it out or maybe when I put back insulation and gaiters I might not notice the noise.

The problem is I never had this noise at all till I fitted the slick shift so I will take the Defender out again and let it warm up and see if I can adjust it away!

whats the slickshift for , putting a new selector turret and selector ball assy, with correct adjustment makes them just a movement of the wrist to change gear anyway ?

After a bit of adjustment with springs and moving the turret a tiny bit this noise in fifth seems to have gone but I think a new turret would do no harm and are quite cheap.I head off to Spain next month for a few weeks hence the concern. Thanks for your hints anyway.
