Hey guys, im currently in the middle of rebuilding a low compression 3.5 and im aiming to bump up the compression to that of the rr engines (9.35,1 iirc)
ive seen that skimming my heads is one way to acheive this but ive been unable to get a definitive figure as to how much material to remove.

does anybody know how much i can remove, need to remove and how noticeable the difference will be?

Thanks.

Yea but more expense when im skimming heads anyway... had been going to do the pistons but mine have hardly any wear so it would be a shame to bin them

Engineering co. Told me id be messing with tappet preload which would require shims, they dont like shims and happen to have 2nd hand 9.75:1 cr pistons in good nick for 120 so i guess im goin down that road
