Hi all, bought this a couple of weeks ago.
Something of a modified series 3

Make a nice shooting bus for the estate if it wasn’t so garish. I wouldn’t risk taking it on the road though. Even if I could con the insurance to cover it. 😳

Bulkhead, tub, screen frame, roof and doors are series. The freewheel hubs on the rearmost axle point to it being a 6x6. A friend built one very similar in the 80's [ who knows could be it] and it was V8.
The way it was set up using two linked transfer box's it could be driven in 2 wheel drive center axle, 4x4 center and front axles. Or 4x4 center and rear axle. A PTO output on first transfer box engaged the second transfer box and FWH had to be put in on the rear axle for this. Or 6x6 with front axle engaged. low range/yellow knob down and front Free wheel hubs in.
Recon he made it just because he could. He was a clever builder and welder who built several trials trucks most of which are still going today.
