SIP Migmate 130.
Spares/repair as I can't guarantee that it's working properly hence the "free" bit. Last time it was used it (about 5 weeks ago) I could not get a decent weld (could be just me) so I've just gone and bought a new Mig.
It could be a simple fix for someone.
Swan neck on gun could do with replacing.
No regulator or wire.
Based in Llanilar, which is about 6 miles from Aberystwyth.

Bugger! If only I could come and collect! You're not going South at any time in the near future are you? I'd love to take this of your hands :(

Great offer though! Well done that man :)

would you be willing to courier it? i'd pay fopr postage. if so i'd have it if you were just going to chuck it :D

Has it been lying around in a cold damp garage? If so, try drying it out by storing in your house for a while then try again.

Saltlick - going to Cardiff on the weekend is that south enough???.
Trax - As Saltlick asked first I'll give him 1st dibs. If he doesn't want it then maybe we can sort something out. I just don't want it hanging around.
crashbox - no it's kept inside (no garage) It was being used to do some patching.
Was working well and then suddenly decide to play up. Couldn't get a weld going so I gave up. Might just be that I didn't let it cool down enough, I really don't know.
I've just had delivery of a new GYS SmartMig so I really want the SIP out of the way. asap.

it sounds like you hit the duty cycle, did a light not come on?

good of you to offer it :)

That is South enough for me and would be good timing, but Trax did post before me here, so I don't want to jump the queue!
If you don't want to post to trax that's different but no point in me causing upset :)

too polite in here, nah it's cool. be easier for you to get. :)

what i *really* want is an bantam oil filled arc.. i'd tear your leg off to grab one at a good price :D

Trax - There's no warning lights on it. Just the on/off light. Looking back I had given it some use that day but as I've said can't guarantee it'll work.
I was waiting for some money to turn up to buy a new Mig anyway so when it stopped it was only a slight inconvenience.

the gys smartmig looks very nice ;)

weldequip?

Yes got it from Weldequip. Bought some things from him in the past. He's just very helpful and his prices are really good.
Hope the weathers not to bad tomorrow as I fancy playing with it.

Guy at my work advertising a stick welder, I seem to recall Clarke 130 arc. but could find out more.

Well I collected the welder today in Cardiff that Richp kindly brought down south along with some other goodies and had a good chin wag too - top bloke, thanks again very much!
Cant wait to have a play now and get the mig up and running for some projects... :D

Pleasure to meet you Saltlick.
I hope you can get the welder working for you. I'm looking forward to having a blast with my new one in the next few days, providing the weather plays ball that is.
