Weird stuff going on with key and handset to unlock newly acquired Freelander 1.8 (2000):
When I use the key in the driver's door, it alone unlocks (as expected). Then when the key is turned to ignition point II, all the doors unlock (unexpected). Hitting the central locking button on the dashboard locks all the doors except the driver's door (unexpected).
Alternatively, when I hit the unlock button on the handset, all the doors except the driver's door unlock (WHAT'S THE POINT OF THAT!!). Hitting the button a second time does nothing.
Is this some f***ed up reverse version of single point entry as described in the manual? It's not how my previous Freelander worked.
