Looking to get a second Alarm fob for my Disco 1. Done a search and found all the info regarding pairing to the car, but when searching on e-bay for a replacement, there seem to be two types - Different Frequency's.

One is 418Mhz, and the other is 433Mhz.

Does it matter which one?
Do I need to get one the same frequency as mine?,
and if so how do I check/confirm what mine is?

Thanks again

Hi Dave
1. Yes
2. Yes
3. Your security ECU has an I.D label stuck to it and among other things will state the units part number and its operating frequency.

Thanks for that, had a look inside the fob and still non the wiser.

LUCTXTLO is printed on the circuit board.

EMA22\94 is on a sticker on the circuit board

and

S+M R2632 KB\E3 is printed on the small silver disc bottom right (not the battery)

Can anyone decipher the codes and advise what frequency Kenneth???

Thanks again
