Each so they're paying new money for old ones

They might aswell buy new ones

Hence production change to allow that

Yes but thats the thing!

The new ones won't be a status symbol as they'll just be like any other new 4x4 then that anybody can have.

They might as well just buy domestic trucks with huge engines and towing capabilties otherwise or if they want a landrover, they buy a Rangerover or Ejoke.

I don't really see how a Defender fits into the American market anymore than just a status symbol.

Put it next to a F150, RAM or any other workhorses and unless lots of bits are added to it, it looks like a toy especially if its a 90.

Then say for the "small farmers" A small farmer there won't be spending big money for a old one or a new one when he can have a Ford Ranger or F150.

Buying a Defender as a daily driver doesn't make sense as there's nicer landrovers to choose from.

I reckon its the european market where it'll sell best as its a market used to reasonably smaller 4x4s but then they'll probably lose out in the UK market so it'll be interesting how things play out unless the new replacement can still tick all the right boxes yet still keep the eurocrats happy over safety

I saw about 4 when I was out in LA. Best condition Defenders ive ever seen, all 20 odd years old aswell. No rust, no damage paintworks perfect. They do look tiny in comparison aswell.

What's the chances of LRO thinking straight and plugging into the spares market for the current defenders, they'd be silly not too don't you think?
