My son's L322 is in need of new outer sills o/s & n/s on his 2004 3.0D - Having spoken to our local Land Rover dealership I am recovering from news they can only supply side of car rather than a repair panel and after trawling web I am no further forward- has anyone had to replace panel and if so who was the supplier of parts - many thanks

Blimey...Have to say this is the first report I have had of rot bad enough to need replacement panels on the L322....

It may be the case that due to the monoque design, replacement parts may indeed be the whole side of the car......I am not 100% familiar with the sill construction on the L322 (never needed to look that closely at mine) but I don't recall seeing a seam!

Sills haven't been a separate panel on cars for years.
Aftermarket is the usual source for this sort of thing but I can offer no further help because tratters are all I know and own.

Thanks Saint.V8 - so far it looks like no repair panel but waiting on some suppliers to get back - can get the "side of the car" from LR for approx. £1.5k - looks like getting under and having a poke around to see just how serious this could be

My bad, I did take a look at my mates D1 a few weeks back, it's is now scrapped, that had rusted through in the boot by the suspension and even rusted through on the roof either side, it was the gearbox that was the final nail in the coffin but the bodywork was fooked

And back to the original question, there are plenty of L322s broken for spares, a battery angle grinder with a 1 mm cutting disc will have a replacement part in your hands in no time
