I know this may sound a little daft but can any one recommend any body that sells these or if they Evan exist. I'm in the most of sorting loads of problems on mine at the no but once done would love to clean the bay up with some nice tubes and hoses, I can only find them for the turbos

ebaying k series brings up a few more customization recommendations but not on hoses.

There aren't really any hoses, other than coolant, in a K Series engine bay.

The hoses for a turbo link all the related components - air filter, turbo, intercooler, plenum/inlet manifold. They don't exist in a non-turbo engine.

Come on have some sympathy, he wants it to look nice when he leaves the bonnet open on McDonald's car park. :D:D

I must admit that did raise a slight smile but I just generally want a tidy engine bay and from my understanding silicone pipes are a better material thus better cooling than standards or am I wrong that is all my days of sitting at a cruise are long gone

I cannot see how silicone pipes improve cooling. They are just a coolant ducting like rubber pipes. But they do look nice and maybe longer lived. But at their price they need to be. ;)

Silicone hoses won't improve the cooling ability of the system. They will hold up to higher pressure than the standard rubber. However even the standard rubber hoses will hold much more pressure than the standard pressure cap allows. There are a couple of owner's that have fitted WV coolant tanks. These have higher pressure caps, and the hoses hold out just fine. Standard rubber hoses, in good condition will hold 30 Psi without a problem.

I put silicone hoses in my td5 discovery as I always wanted to see if they made a difference or were just for looks. The discovery hoses are pretty cheap compared to other cars I've owned so I took the plunge. TBH I've noticed no difference other than when I lift the bonnet I'm greeted with little bits of blue.
The advantages of silicone hoses is higher tolerances to pressure and heat, longer life span and they won't stick to pipe work around the jubilee clip like rubber.
The rest of the benefits are just based on the fact that all the cars in films like fast and furious have them and people make the connection that they must be a performance modification. They are only a benefit for running pressures and temperatures a lot higher than stock.

I stand corrected I do appreciate it I guess this is why these forums are worth there weight in gold ......we are forever learning

Thank you once more
