Remove rear box: slightly more brum.

Remove centre box: lots more rasp, rather loud but not very bassy.

Remove everything: ridiculous, not recommended.

Non baffled centre box, no back box: recommended.

Getting rid of the cats made the biggest difference to the sound/loudness of mine.

That's mine with a smallish middle box no cats and no back box. And headman headers but they didn't do anything to the sound!
