Ok well here it is being as Sean's SIII rebuild has no pictures anymore (which im gutted about as they may have helped me alot!) I have decided to put my own restoration piccies up but please be aware i am no mechanic and dont know a prop shaft from a half shaft etc i am simply doin as my wonderful father advises and then waiting for my next instructions! lol
More importantlyif anyone can help in any way for example let me know where to get parts like the center post's from panels etc then it would be much appreciated!

After letting a little light in it was clear that the boot floor had gone so out it came..

I am now waiting for the wife to release further funds so i can go shopping for sheet allie so in the mean time i decided to se how she is going to look tarted up! (Bessie not the wife!)

Thats it for now i will probably upload some more piccies in a few days!
If someone could help by telling me where i can get the cross members and runners from in the boot floor area that would be great and also the center posts!?!?!? Cheers Jess

Makes no difference once im towing you and your fat arse is sat in mine it will weigh class 7 again!

let me know how you get on, i have just bought a safari to do up. just got to remove the front diff to weld a hole up and then it is rebuild time...

Oooooooh boy!... Underseal arrived today and the straight six is now humming like the gentle roar of a lion!
Soon be time to get the cross runners for the boot floor and then get the floor in!
Im on the look out for a B post if anyone has one for sale please pm me with price (passenger side)
Will get some more piccies up soon!

I bought some tub crossmembers from here:-
Land Rover Series 1948-1984: Body/Fittings: Brackets/Fittings | parts and spares | www.lrseries.com | L. R. Series

At £14 plus vat it wasn't worth trying to fabricate my own.
The longitudinal supports didn't need replacing on mine but apparently what you need is "top hat section" ally. Good hunting!

Stu the only reason your Disco is still in one piece underneath is the amount of oil it leak's! If you hadn't bought that 90 i would have disowned you!



And as for the underseal I'm painting the chassis top legs while there exposed and then leaving the rest for the mot so the git doesn't scrape it all off looking for problems that aren't there!
