Now what about the ash tray? What can I print to go in that space? Someone has already come up with a simple coin/key tray, I might see if I can convert it to a phone holder/charging pod, or a gauge pod, cup holder,

How about a holder for a Nanocom? I removed the ashtray and mount and used to wedge the Nanocom diagonally across the hole. I have made a holder from a chunk of wood but have decided to re-do it to orient it towards the driver.

I've opened up a brand spanking new tube out of the bag for you. It is definitely 45mm ID. I can post it to you if it would help

Helpful, but I don't think it is required, thanks. I'll work off 45mm for now and I'll be test fitting in my dash anyway.

So the Mud coin tray is 17 odd quid. I can print my own for about 50p worth of filament and 10 minutes design time. I might do one just to tide me over until the phone dock is done.

So the phone dock - hard wired or external wire dangling over the dash? Hard wired would involve removing the dash to install, external wire would just slot in but not be as neat....

iPhone 5/6/7? plus? Nokia 3310?

Do that many have Nanocom units that there needs to be a holder made for them, or is that a one-off? If you send the dimensions of it in mm I can make you a one-off.

Repaired the printer, added black filament and printed these today....

Vent fits in a 16mm hole (because that's the size of my hole saw :) :

And the adapter for the feed, 45mm OD pipe fits the inlet and it has a 45mm ID for fitting to the bottom of the vent.:

Took 7 hours to print.

Add me onto the list for a set please! Great work by the way.
What 3D Printer have you got / what's your set up? Considering getting one for my lad's birthday - his 15th. What do you reckon?

Would be interested in an astray alternaitive, lumia 640 ? Or a shotgun cartridge or bullet holder

I will be back in the UK in 2 weeks and have a set of the pipe air-flow splitters/vents to give to whomever can convince me that they will be fitting them for testing the soonest :) I would do it myself but I have a full program of Weddings/Christenings and, after sitting in a sandy hole for a few weeks, I have much beer to drink. No time for Landrover based tomfoolery.

I printed a lovely iPhone 4 holder for Mrs Oilydan that fit snugly into the ashtray hole, then she broke both 4s that we had thus making it obsolete, if anyone wants this - first come etc. It has a cutout for gluing a charging lead so can be hard-wired as charging dock. She now has a sparkly new 7s Plus but it has a case so cannot print a generic holder for it so I have done myself a coin/garage doofer tray.

I think the next thing is central locking. I have added to the front doors already but need to get the rear lock changed. Then I'll be printing the mechanism, pivots/arms to fit a solenoid in the back door.

I will be taking my dash apart soon to fit the twin washer mod so could trial your kit whilst it's in bits

OK, so I do have 2 sets (I was keeping one for myself but can always print more).

If you guys PM me your addresses I'll send them off to you when I get back in a couple weeks.

I think you will need some 15mm ID tubing to pipe the warm air to the window vent.....

Yeah, mine does too, I was just being silly.
I'll attempt to fit them before LZ12 so others can see at the meet up?
