Hi there, my 1988 90 has "Defender" side decals rising from the door diagonally up then horizontal above the door handle not through it as such. I dont know if these are genuine or not, but they are badly faded and have gone a girly puple colour .

I want to replace them and have been on Craddocks site and they do these

JC561 - LAND ROVER BODY GRAPHICS KIT DEFENDER - Series 2 Parts & Series 3 Parts & Defender 90/110 Parts

are these the correct ones, they aren't a bad price just wondering if anyone else has fitted them.

Any tips on removal of current ones fitting new?

Thanks in advance

use a hairdryer and a credit card to remove (any plastic card will do)

when applying new ones use a small amount of soapy liquid so u can move them slightly if needed

Using a sharpie or semi perminent pen mark where the old sticker was, Peel the old stickers off, rub the area with brake cleaner to clean off all the old glue but be careful of your markings, if the the sticker is going straight on then skip this step but clean the surface again to take any dirt off, when applying the sticker most the area with a soapy water mix this will allow you to move he sticker slightly to get perfect alignment, once applied carefully go over the sticker with a hair dryer this will heat the glue and it will stick better

Looks great, thought about respraying mine but the effort involved and costs put me off. Would like a silver or green paint job but the inside would still be blue, plus i would be pretty annoyed if i scratched it down the lanes!

This is slightly off topic but as you have a snorkel fitted to yours i thought i would ask.

Just got mine delivered, its a Bearmach copy of the safari. how do you go about waterproofing it to the air box? it all goes under the heater box and looks a fiddly bugger. No point in fitting it though if its not all sealed.

what connections come with it?

Foam gasket, plus the relevant fixing bolts etc. Mine was a early TD with the intake on the nearside wing, for some reason there is no longer a turbo on it but i think its the same lump so its just a 2.5n/a. The flexi pipe goes under the heater box to the filter box up the front. The filter box is a cylindrical one behind nearside headlight.

i have silicone thought should i replace the flexi pipe with new or not

thanks
