morning all. I've got a set of landrover side steps to fit to my 2006 hse 5 door. Are the predrilled holes there or do I need to drill and tap new.

The holes are already in the inner sills and chassis rails. You'll need to fit Rivnuts to the holes, for the fixing bolts to screw in to.

Well, stripped all the brackets , applied rust treatment after removing them from the steps then painted with hamerite .Drilled out the old fixings as the bolts were rusted in. Fitted new riv nuts and refitted ro the steps using stainless bolts all round then mounted to the landy.
Looks good now.

New job today. Rear n/s widow cable snapped. Replaced with an eBay one. Perfect replacement but what a pig trying to wind the inner cables around the white nylon wheel. Working fine now though. Tried the other side rear and ping crunch. So ordered another kit.

I've discovered that removing all the internal screws on my inner-doors and tail-gate and then spraying a general maintaince oil aerosol through the screw holes helps prevent the mechanism failing in the first place.
