Hi all, trying to keep the old girl as original as I can, can someone please tell me who are the original manufacturers of the side door mirrors (one of mine says "Ashtree", this I'm certain is not original, the other side I can't read as it's been painted over!) and the front sidelights (one is marked LEP, the other side nothing). Any help appreciated, thanks fellows, Mark

Err, what series have you got ? Are you sure it is LEP on the light ? LAP (Lucas auto products) are still alive and well.

Just re read the post it is a series three. Mirrors are door mounted off the hinge, I did once make a mould for Raydot that I think was for a Land Rover.

No, defo LEP on the side lamp. Were Wipac OEM? There just seems so many versions out there, just trying to find original equipment suppliers. What about Britax for the door mirror? OEM?

Mark, I had mismatched rusty mirrors on my doors but for the time being they have been removed and I've put mirrors n the wings. Looks much better but of course not such a good rear view but at 45 mph I dont do much overtaking ...
New mirrors look like this:

You can buy replacement door mirrors excluding the mounting bolts from either Craddocks or Paddocks. £7.50 plus VAT. Ditto light fittings. Bulbs from either Lucas or Halfords. If you're referring to the repeaters on the sides I removed mine and fitted a rubber gromit into the hole. They are a pain in the arse, always blowing. Eliminates any MOT issue.

Last time I was in Craddocks they had side lights in a bin by the counter. Cheapo pattern and for an extra bit of money some OE
They all leak and only last a few years, I seal everything with vaseline plus put it on the metal parts of the bulbs and terminals. Seems to stop the poor earth niggles.
