Hi, getting a bit stuck on what could be causing this.
Normal driving no problem, no steering shudder no vibrations.
Over the past few months have noticed when braking – either at high or low speed that there is a shudder to the whole car, is like a dud… dud.. dud.. is best to describe it. Doesn’t seem to pull to either side. You can notice that the whole car has slight movement from side to side as you brake, either gently or hard.
All the pad were done a year ago along with the front disks. Have had the front stripped down to make sure nothing sticking, replaced the slider pins just to make sure. Pistons moving in and out. Disks look smooth and fine.
Am thinking ABS sensor , but no warnings in message centre.
Car also went through MOT last week.
Anyone any ideas!

Warped disc!! Just because it was new a few months ago dont meen it hasent warped
If its shaking through the steering id say front if its shaking through the car rear
Jack each wheel one at a time and rotate by hand should feel the same all the way round but if the disc is warped it will catch as it turns and you should feel slight resistance at the same point each time the wheel turns

Could also be a shot shock absorber. Got the same thing on mine. Discs have less then 1500 miles and are perfect. But did notice a bit of seeping from those on the nearside. Time to change all 4.

Warped discs but it takes a lot of heat to actually warp a disc although I've seen discs warped just a few weeks after being replaced. You can check with a dti or brake rollers. It could also be worn suspension parts or bushes.

Is the pedal pulsating?

Shock absorbers will not cause brake judder. Almost certainly warped discs. New discs can be warped by heavy braking in the first few miles after fitting if not allowed to bed in. No heavy braking for the first 250 miles is the usual practice.

Yes wammers, that is true. But I like you know that heavy braking can lead to warping early. Nice and steady is the way to go, just as I have always done.

The op hasnt mentioned anything about pedal judder or such. Just the whole car shaking.:)

And I don't have any on mine. Gone round mine with dti and almost zero movement on the gauge.

I did gave a previous car that had the same symptoms and turned out to be the shockers gone. Plus mine do look original :D

Thanks it was Warped disc's, Jacked up like you said, wasn't able to feel it but could hear a slight hiss then nothing as the wheel was rotated on the n/s.

Ordered up new set and all is smooth again.
