Im planning to make a trailer using a leaf sprung series axle, it will be the size of a double mattresses and have a bit of storage under the bed. Going to be made from 1"box section mainly and be waterproof. Like a small caravan type thing.

Here's mine when it was a trailer tent taken about 5-6 years ago

And here it is now after i stripped all the camping stuff out of it and made it into a general purpose trailer, can't carry much in weight but i have towed a s11a gearbox in it from manchester to devon whilst i was on my way to my caravan in cornwall, there is a lip all round the chassis of the trailer which is very handy for when ratchet strapping stuff down, the only down side to it is it has inboard wheel arches so although the inside dimentions are 6'6" long x 4' wide the arches do get in the way sometimes but other than that its a great trailer, its also braked and is on coils springs aswell :)

If you put a Series anything on it, even underneath......it'll leak

Fact :p

Heres a few updated pics of my setup, I finally got it out and am getting it prep'd for summer.

First of closed up (without the cover on top), you can see the outriggers I have made just to aid in stability, they made a big difference, was going to do 4 but 2 is more than enough:

and fully unfolded, needs a bit of pulling around to get the canvas in shape but its pretty much spot on:

and a pic inside, cooker, grill, sink, soon to have 12V lighting and a stereo added, its got 240V hookup as well, luxury camping in a small package:

Once its tied down properly it straightens itself out a bit, just need some weather to try it out properly...

Wtf is that thing attached to the trailer?! :eek:

Ha, thought someone might mention that, it's my budget off roader, a lot more reliable than a land rover but doesn't have the same fun factor, still it's cheap, reliable and comfy so will do for now!

:ban::ban::ban:

trailer sits nice and high though. would work well off road :)
