Hi,
Am looking in2 getting some additional Spot Lights on my Freelander......nothing 2 big/in your face.....something to use when my Full Beams are on, have seen these on ebay & even tho they are listed as Fogs i think they may be suitable.
Was going to fit them in the middle 'air grill'....
So, what else do you have fitted......cheers :D

I've got those lights fitted, going to fit some HID bulbs soon. :)

Hi all,
You're right about fogs having to be lower down Dr Evil but as i want to use them as Spots running off my Full Beam......JC600, they look good & are they exactly the same as the pics i posted? Halfrauds sell them.....have you got them hooked up as Low Beam or Running of your Full beam? I was going to fit them in the grill down from urs if they fit but they do look good where you have them....
If you have any more close up pics could you send them to me please?

I've got mine on separate switch so can put them on with any light. :)

And they are from Halfrauds.
 
anything on the bumper level is classed as fog's and must be only able to switch on when dip lights are on and must not be used unless there is less than 100 yards (old school) visiblity or falling snow to the smae degree i am sure someone will tell you what the new mesurment is in meters.
 
Fogs and spots have very different beam patterns, fogs are for close up spots are for distance. Fogs can work with dip and main, spots main only. You can have spots in the bumper, some manufacturers used to factory fit them. You can't use fogs in good visibility cos it blinds other road users as they don't dip whereas spots turn off when you go to dip, if fitted correctly of course!
 
Mine are for off road use only, that's why I'm putting HID bulbs in and they give a good flood pattern for slow driving off road. It's passed an MOT with them fitted as they are on a separate switch. :)

6x55 W Hella's Luminator (metal case) on front, all controlled by separate switches in pairs. Two modes - manual, and linked to driving lights/high beam.

Very useful and very durable.

also VisionX LED Bars are very good option

Fog lights can be operated with the side lights on, so you have the choice of using the fogs only, or headlights and fogs in bad visibility.
Thats how LR have them wired up, and every car I've driven with factory fitted front fogs.
