Got my yr 2000 td4 and am reasonably happy with it....... But........ A friend a work has decided to sell his 2005 facelift td4 and has offered it me at a reasonable price.

Do I just keep mine, better the devil you know...... Or do I sell and throw some extra money into the 2005????

I know mine won't be worth much, and a newer one would be nice, but..........

Oooooooooo don't know what to do

Cheers

If he's a friend ask him if you can have it for an hour or two give it a good check over and test drive ...you know what to look for ;)

I've driven it and it seems ok but it has a very sparce service history. Like the look of the facelift especially the interior........ Having said that I've got heated leather / suede seats from a 2006 in mine!!

The things I'd miss are the Powerfold mirrors and the fbh.

Recently serviced mine, renewed all the brakes and done the diff mounts and would probably have to do it all again on the new one.

Suppose it may all hinge on what I get for mine...... Think I would have to get £1500 quid for mine to make it worthwhile seeing as I'm skint!!!!!

I'd say better the devil you know.
People don't look at 4wd's and there age unlike many other cars.

Yeh the interior on the facelift is much nicer.

But I worry about those flimsy looking bumpers...

I really did like my old 2001 td4 auto gs ,but now I am beginning to love my latest one a 2006 td4 hse the only thing in it I do not like is those cup holders on the dash and it does not have a fbh either but that not a problem as the other one used to go on for ever and waste precious fuel

We have PTC heaters instead to warm up the cabin on the 2006 HSE models.......

Part ex price round here for 2005 facelift is between £3000 to £3500 and that's in good condition with all the doors on :).

I paid 3200 so about right......... Just need a grand for mine so I can pay er indoors back....... If there is no interest might break it

Ha ha

Well had quite a few calls........ And most of them asking about condition of vcu so decided to do vcu test last night.

It's a bit stiff!!!!!

Looks like the prop will be coming off and the price reduced........ Now 800 quid..... Just need it gone now........ If I don't get that will defiantly break it
