td4 is indeed chain driven, no timing belt to change. maybe they meant the auxiliary drive belts ? I would definitely check what works they say they are doing.

You say you bought a BMW which had 4 faults in the first 6 months, and you're buying another car from them ?

the 320d bmw was high mileage and the faults were common ones for that model but the warrantry coverd them the car got sold when it ran out so I know the warrantry is a good one and wont try and get out of paying out like most things in life you get what you pay for

Hav seen 54 face lifts HSE going for 6K recently - was tempted. They we're going for 12-13 18 months ago. Good time to buy me thinks. Someone on here had got a FL2 HSE for around 15K which is more than 1/2 list price.

I have a 2000 xedi and I am pleased with it .Done some changes to it and its ok

mmm just read a review that said the td4 is the same unit as the 320d better not let my missus see it

Small update, it would appear that Roverron has changed the tuning module for this engine & the price has leapt accordingly. It now costs £159+ for the new confusingly named Synergy VP module for the L-Series. The old Tune-am TU1 £60 unit doesn't appear to exist anymore, so apologies if I mislead you earlier.

No worries - still a better price than the one from twisted performance!

Just waiting to see if the deal's gonna go through now... fingers crossed
