atm im in the process of rebuilding my 90 and i can't decide if i should respray it a different colour. i want to start painting some of the arms and brackets etc so i need to decide on the main colour so i can colour code accordingly,
this is what it looks like atm

should i keep it this colour and just freshen it up?.....

If not I'm thinking either orange, blue or yellow

what do you lot think??

also is it worth starting a rebuild thread yet, its not going to be a quick rebuild as i can only work on it when i occasionally have some spare time and money on the evening/weekends so its going to be very start/stop ish

I painted mine myself and went with this. But also like the blue if it had a black roof to break it up.

I like Oslo blue. :)
I'm thinking RS Blue if i go down the blue route

i will be painting it myself too, iv never done it before so it should be interesting. i hope my 50L compressor will be up to the job. any advice? when the time comes ill be in need of a full step by step breakdown on how to do it.

I likes the blue I also likes the orange,I also don't mind the colour it is now ,remove the county/ defender stripes and spend the respray money on some more bolt on extras,?

i dropper my axles off at the shot blasters today, i did start cleaning them up with the grinder and it was taking forever so for £30 an axle i couldn't say no

That's what I done mine with a 50l 3hp compressor and never gave me any problems. It was my first time painting also and was surprised how easy it was but prep is definitely the key and would definitely use 2k paint again. If you need any help at all give me a shout.

I like the red it is now.
Definitely worth starting a build thread :) And as Danny said, painting is easier than you may think.
Oh and I did one in Ford RS blue a couple of years ago :D Liked the colour a lot.

iv heard it all in the prep, won't be doing it for a while yet though, i need to finish my axles and then decide what suspension kit I'm buying then save up a bit for a galv chassis

i think i remember seeing the RS blue one on here somewhere, your the master of painting anyway aaron, what spray gun do you recommend?
i haven't got a clue about spray painting atm, i need to do some research. iv got myself some red oxide primer and some rustoleum combo-colour so i can hand paint my axles

When I get mine am going for that colour
Line x matt black armour

a friend of mine had his sprayed with that, it looks like a beast, bit too pricey for me like.

Just been quoted a1000 to do a 90 hardtop which doesn't seem too bad maybe if youndoif get the whole defender in that get like the wheel arches light surround and maybe the bonnet and roof just a though might look decent

My painting isn't all that, but it's reasonable and good enough for me and an lr :)
As a decent reasonably priced gun, I would recommend a devibliss flg5 and is what I use.
Obviously it depends what paint you use though. I use 2k with the above.
I will try and find some pics of the RS blue one again.

Reasonable is good enough for me :) do you use a 1.4 or 1.8 version of that gun? I think I'll do a bit of research into painting this week and try to get my head around it. I do like the RS blue.
I'll start a rebuil thread at the weekend too or one night this week if I find some free time :)
