Afternoon all, I'm after some help please.
Got a 300tdi Auto, changed thermostat this morning as I feared it may have been sticking when the Disco overheated for a second last night.
Bled the system through this morning but one minute I have heat coming out in cab and then next minute it's cold, air lock?
I tried to add a video to show that when I Rev her hard the expansion tank water bubbles a lot but couldn't upload. I changed HG 10k ago and she's been fine. Any ideas please?

Bleed it again. The last time I had to do it, it took three times.

Did you do final topping up via the thermostat housing? If not check to see that it is full of coolant - bet it isn't thought.

When doing this, ensure that the header tank cap is firmly in place, otherwise you'll over-fill the header tank.

Thanks guys, I filled slowly via the thermostat plug but she kept spewing water out of it as I was filling it. Should I be filling it with engine off?

engine off and pref facing up a slope.

remove rad and thermo blanking plugs (liable) to break if plastic)
fill coolant tank to level
refit cap and fill radiator to top of blanking plug
refit plug and then fill thermo housing to top of blanking plug
refit blanking plug (houshold radiator bleed type)

bring engne up to temp, bleed thermo housing plug until no air,

Thanks Mad Hat I'll give that another go. Would you empty the whole lot and start again or just try and bleed out through thermostat cap now?
