only about 1 km long, jctn 24 m62 head a629 toward huddersfield turn left Yew Tree Rd at Tjunction head straight across on to byway, this part usually dosnt show up on internet maps best to use OS maps, on memory map mine is region 8 think its landranger 110 but mot sure. this lane is not for the faint hearted i had to get pulled out by my dads tractor, the council are supposed to be resurfacing but i dont know if theyve done it, i would advise you drive half way down to the bridge in the trees where you can turn round if you change your mind, then walk the rest of the way to check, heavy rain may have made it even worse, i didnt walk the route first cause i'm an arse. the wife thought it hilariouse for about 20 seconds and the pajero couldnt even get down the lane far enough to pull me out

is it no good for standard landies then looking at your pictures need some fairly calm lanes as on road tyres and only had disco about 4 weeks and not had much practise off road as yet im in halifax so not to far away.

definatley not when i was there, the council are supposed to be re surfacing so the best thing is to go have a look, you can drive half way down then walk to check the rest

guys! it's still there!

been up and down it in a standard 90, with some slightly chunkier than normal tyres. it's rather easy, but it gives good experience for beginners like myself

so give it a go!

far as im aware, i can see it on my landramnger ap, and i've pootled down and pootled back up again. it's literally about 200metres long. but if you've never done greenlaning before, it's like an intiation

As it started in 2006 and no one has posted since 2010....

Thought I would mention that I drove down this short Byway last night, the gate is there but it is not locked. It is a bit narrow as no one has been down there for a while.
I did video it and will post it if I can.

....so...is it still legal...? No current TRO or some such? People should really check with the highway authority (appropriate county council) about such things ;)
