A mate has a shogun '98 2800 intercooler and has been so impressed with my chip van he is keen to try too anyone have any experience of this and will the engine run on Veg ?

I have to be nice to him as his daughter gets my SVO from the cash and carry for me :)

um pretty sure my uncle ran his old 2.8 shogun on veg he didnt have it long then flogged it so cant really remember if he had problems or not his 2.8 fourtrak runs fine on it though

I didnt have any problems on veg, but when i was using a mates bio it started doing wierd things and ended up on the scrap heap.

Might be fine, might not .. who cares, it's a Mitsubishi ...

Why can't your mate ask?
Why doesn't he or you ask a mitsubishi forum?

several reasons one is he isnt computer literate and i dont care enough to join a mitsubishi and ask .thought someone on here may no only asking :)

shogun should be fine on veg oil, mine runs fine on it, make sure you mix it out of the car though or else it can give problems. first couple of hundred miles just use a weak mix of oil/diesel and watch out for the car cutting out first thing in the morning after about 1/2 a mile. if it's ok after a couple of hundred miles then you can increase the strength of your mix:D

Before it was stolen i ran a Pajero 2.8 on veg oil and diesel mix. i did it approx 50:50 with absolutely no problem.

I ran my 2.5 Challenger on WVO for years.
I mixed it 50/50 but always filled up with diesel then added the WVO so that you don't get a welly full going through the engine.
Cold mornings I dropped the ratio back & increased it when it was hot weather.
A few friends commented that they always wanted chip cobs after being driven in mine but I could never smell it.
One tip though don't use diesel cleaner when running WVO, it breaks it down & clogs the filters. Got the T shirt etc....
