Sorry to resurrect an oldish thread.I have driven Landy's for Fifty years now, with much off road use and the only fail I have had twice [ once on series once on coil ] is the eye coming off at the top of the shock. I just fit the standard Armstrong ones again when they wear out.
Did he try taking them off? I think that is when you can tell if they are any good or not. Did a rebuild on my brothers 90 and the Terrafirma shocks were knackered and a couple difficult to remove.Son had no problems with his Terrafirma shocks on his Ninety in the 6 or so years he had them.
Doesn't look like much flex for +5's?Got terrafirma +5 model I think all round on my 90, been on there a few years now.
Fitted by po with relocated top mounts, so when they died a few years back I just replaced with the same.View attachment 300953View attachment 300954
Easy to remove, thinking about he may still have the TF ones on the front.Did he try taking them off? I think that is when you can tell if they are any good or not. Did a rebuild on my brothers 90 and the Terrafirma shocks were knackered and a couple difficult to remove.
It wont have as it is on std springs, thats how I bought it all them years ago, never quite understood why it had the +5 shox fitted, the point I was trying to make was, the terrafirma +5 have been no issue, so maybe the longer ones are better quality?Doesn't look like much flex for +5's?
3 years sounds terrible...I just got new terrafirma shocks and springs with steering damper. My previous ones lasted about 3 years. Same kit. Just for reference. Terrafirma guys on the phone can give you all the part numbers and suggest which shocks and springs to install based on what you’re doing day to day, very smart guys on there own product.
I mean they still lasted however, not for a MOT3 years sounds terrible...
