He was my sister’s partner of 25 years. Passed away 3 weeks ago. We have 101fc to sell. Vehicle located in Algarve. Any advice welcome…

Well that came as a huge shock. A hard working guys life cut short .
Please send our condolences to Lucy and the family.
Rob was a good contributor to this forum.

As for the 101 I really cant help, maybe advertise it here (sure mods would give allowance for that in circumstances) but it wont be an easy sell where it is.

I believe he was an Edinburgh boy, also had something to do with Dolly the cloned sheep, also did catering for BR at one point ( hated me saying sandwiches), had a restaurant in Portugal too I think and dabbled in chocolatier'ing...

latter years had teamed up with a local garage doing restorations whilst undertaking the sysophean task of trying to matriculate his forward control.

Mate, I have had a very quick google and it appears there is a Portuguese Land rover Club, as well as other forums, Facebook groups etc.
Maybe one or two of them would be able to advise you re selling it. you can click on both these searches rather than trying to copy them. On my screen it isn't obvious that they are links though in fact they are.

Failing that Maybe a classic car site, quite a few on there too.

I thought he worked in a garage for a bloke who was in the classic car world, can he not help?

Seriously, all the very best of luck in selling it.
Stan.

Thanks. Barry was the mate with the garage. They had big falling out some time ago, but I did manage to speak to him.
101 at this moment in time is a non runner which doesn’t help situation. It’s been standing for quite a while so I presume the fuel is bad.
Some classic car guys from the coast are having a look as we speak.
