hey all...and hello...
was wondering if anybody has come across this problem...and how serious it is?
just finished stitching a new boot floor into a 3 door 200tdi, all went well, new sides and underfloor bars in, no real worries...
then about two weeks later things felt abit 'twitchy' so, i checked tyres, suspension, diff etc...all seemed ok..
things got more interesting and i discovered that the mounting bracket that attaches to the axel, onto the sway bar / tortion bars...has sheared off!!!
looks like one side has rusted, causing vibration movement to shear the 'good top and side off the bracket!!
no wonder it felt a bit like steering a boat!!
so, quick question, can i buy a pre fabed bracket to weld on, or will i have to fabricated something (was thinking of a bit of 2x4 3mm box section tube, cut to fit axel, drilled for the thru bolt etc..)
anyhow..
any ideas?
cheers
