have you checked the fuel cut off switch in the engine bay?

its at lr at the moment and they say the fuel is getting thrugh!

If the high pressure side isn't getting up to pressure it won't start although there is fuel present. Squirting carb cleaner or similar into the intake allows it to start on that and then the high pressure pump starts working.

they say that they deal in landrover and got lr certificates but they have to email lr with a problem and wait 24hrs for a reply! not very specialist if you ask me!!!!!!

doesn't sound like it to me either. Get em to check the connection on the fuel injector rail. They often corode up. Might even be worth pulling the connector off the fuel pressure regulator to help boot the pressure until it starts.

just bump it.about 40 mph will do it:eek:

I went out to a guy with a tiptronic gearbox a few weeks back. It was his sons car and he was borrowing it. It wouldn't start so he thought the battery was flat. He rolled it down a bloody great hill and and bump started it.:eek::eek:

It actually did start, but it had no drive.

When I got there I had to sit and wait for him to walk all the way down the hill to the car. I asked what happened and he explained. I asked him to try and start it. It wouldn't start. I then told him to put his foot on the brake and try again. Funnily enough it started. He still tried to maintain it was faulty cos in his eyes you shouldn't have to put your foot on the brake.:p:p:p

some people are idiots, got a reply from landrover and they have diagnosed the problem to be the high pressure diesel pump!

they are fitting one in the morning so we will see!!!!!!!
