Not too much detail on the website about extras...is it the Atlantic Safari at £700? Is any accomodation included as some nights are in towns?? How much is your return ferry Mark?

Return ferry will be around £720, but you can only book the outbound journey at the minute.
3k should cover the whole trip, as a rough guide.

Portsmouth to santander on the 22nd, one way, is showing at £269..then a days drive down to Gib.

If you're happy to spend 25hrs on deck then be my guest. :D
I've opted for a cabin with facilities etc.

You posh bastid!

I'd be tempted to drive tbh. What is it ... 1400 miles from calais...only take couple of hours surely?

We worked out the extra money on fuel and tolls isn't far off the cost of the ferry, so chose that option.
The 635 mile drive in an off road prepped D1 in 24hrs is going to be bad enough...

Its a bloody shame there isnt a ferry further south tbh. I've got israel next month and denmark in aug...i need to do some bloody work. I shall bookmark this thread and see what the boss says!

Certainly is. You'll need the 17:15 ferry departure from Portsmouth on the 22nd Oct if you're seriously considering it too. Booked my space this week. :)

I thought you got a discount if you booked the ferry through trailmasters?

Probably making that up, I thought I read it somewhere though

I still can't decide if I should drive or take the ferry.. hmmm

Hi,

I use a GoPro HD camera with two housings, one in the car and one on the snorkel outside. The housings are completely waterproof and keep out all the dust and sand. You control the camera with your iPhone (with a wifi backpack), so that you don't have to stop and climb on the roof to start/stop. Works like a treat!

Safe travels!

Sounds like a neat set-up! Thanks, I will have a look into it. :)

I've dropped them a quick email today :) It's something I'm definitely gonna do. I need to give the beast a good run out (once it's fully completed) hopefully going in for spraying soon.
