Not sure why it went green, I was expecting you to do your homework and search for it.

This is a bettereteretetetererer spring mod , apparently.

Yeah I did, I searched ‘lof spring mod’ and all it brought up was your post from earlier on

I looked into this as well - but my landy has a different clutch lever without a spring in that place!
Should have picked up the landy yesterday as it’s finished now but didn’t make it to the garage, will go get it Monday !!

Very interested to see how this works for you as I to have bad knees and the clutch puts me off driving it. I have all the bits (apart from the actual gearbox) to convert to auto but I am holding off as much as possible!

Been looking at a red booster aswell, again for fit and forget no hassle

What do you get in the red booster kit?

Picked up the landy with the redbooster kit now fitted - does exactly what it says on the box really! Super easy to press the clutch - totally different.

Cool. Have you measured the effort required ? It would be interesting to know for comparison purposes. :)

Dare we ask the total cost of the mod? ;)

( the technique I used to measure effort was detailed in my thread.... bit heath robinson, but ..... )

I have only just got it back so no measuring yet! Suffice to say it’s gone from being like an old Landrover to literally effortless, massive difference - I’ll see if I have a spring weight and a stick kicking around!
As far as cost goes it was £400 for the parts and around the same again to fit - it’s a good few hours work to fit - I think fitting it is simple but fiddly, bleeding it is the tricky bit, I didn’t want to bother with it myself...so then you pay ££ !
Money well spent - had a bit of welding done as well so we are good to go (for now)

Edit - have just checked the invoice and Labour was £425+vat including having an outrigger replaced and a couple of other bits of welding.

Just got one of the LOF clutch spring kits.

Will see how it goes for fitting and ease of use on the old knee.
