Never used that one, but I've had a problem with oil filters in the past, I buy filters and oil separately and use LR filters, cost a little more but better to know its OK, some of the better brands should be good.
Oil is a whole story on its own, look up the number of threads on here.
In the handbook it says A1 98, B1 98 oil 5 w30 , 5 w40 or 5 w50 (depending on temperature) I use 5 w30 or 5 w40.

Hello all...hope everyone's doing well.
I'm planning to service my td5 myself (big step for me) are Bearmach service kits at around 30 quid any good??
Thanks Raywin. I'll look at those filters. I'm sorted on the oil.Never used that one, but I've had a problem with oil filters in the past, I buy filters and oil separately and use LR filters, cost a little more but better to know its OK, some of the better brands should be good.

Lovely job!Go to your local motor factors and just buy the bits. They'll most likely be far better quality than kits that bearmach or ****part do. You won't need a lot - enough engine oil for a full change, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, ep80 and atf to top up your diffs, transfer box and gearbox, grease for your propshafts, and coolant if you need to top yours up? Think that's about it. That's a better service than any garage will even bother to do
Like the look of that so just ordered it. Many thanks.I bought this filter kit, very happy with it. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264508381658
