15mm spanner or socket on the tensioner bolt
Release the pressure of the tensioner on the bolt by moving the tensioner wheel up with the socket/spanner then remove the belt from the pulleys
thanks guys -- yep the alternator is kaput , so need to take it off to get it recond .
belt looks like it needs replacing as well , so just need to remember wish way round the belt goes back on ie over or under the pulleys
