OK bear with me, this guy has done some interesting things, its pity there is not more technical detail on how. He's claiming 5x the original HP of 70 so around 350. Look out for the engine data to a tablet, discs all round and rear A/C. And the grill has not been moved forward!
 
I wondered about that, but he says its got a "Dana 60" which I suspect is a Salisbury on the rear, they are certainly good for 300 hp as they were used on Jags. I suspect the engine is gentle on the transmision becuase its an auto, has plenty of cylinders and probably produces its torque higher up the rev range. I'd like to see some pics of the discs, how the transfer box is fitted - did you see where the yellow knob is? Also how he configured that tablet as an engine display from the OBD. It must work becuase he's been travelling towing that great big Airstream trailer.

I'm happy to be corrected about the Dana 60, being a jeep axle, but the Dana and Salisbury diffs are the same, just don't know whether its a 60 or not. Opinions seem to vary:

Re the engine conversion, I don't like it, but them I'm happy with 63hp. But the reason I posted it was that as I said in my orginal post; its interesting. I just wish there was more technical detail as he's solved a few problems - like the discs, aircon and he's somehow got a modern engine in without shifting the grill, it looks like the transfer case has gone back about 8". I know people post on here about auto-boxes in Series, well he's sorted that and used the original offset diffs, something i believe defeats many who try. I would probably have preferred the whole video to be fimed underneath!

same type of construction/mechanics, meaning rear cover comes off and you can remove the gear cluster from the rear.

The Dana 60 is a Salisbury-type rear-end, meaning the differential carrier removes from the rear of the axle instead of the front. ... A Dana 70 rear axle will have the same rear cover; however, the carrier housing will be larger and casting numbers will reflect the fact that it is a 70-series axle.
