Hello everyone, I just joined this forum.

I am re-building a 2.25 three bearing petrol engine for my Series 3 (SWB 1980).

I am currently renewing the rocker shaft and rockers (a complete overhaul with some new parts). I had all the old parts placed in order on my work bench for reference, but someone moved them all over the winter and now I am having problems reassembling the rockers and washers without any decent reference.

I have managed to assemble the rockers in order using a diagram in the Land Rover parts book, and some help from John Craddocks. The problem is the location of the spacing washers (where do they go?). I have looked in the Land Rover workshop manual, a Haynes manual and the LR parts book but can’t seem to find a decent clear diagram of the assembled positions. Would anyone have a clear photograph of a working rocker shaft with its components so I can easily see how to reassemble the shaft and its components (washers)?

Thanks in advance for any help.
