It's not turning. Checked all connections and it's getting power from solenoid but nothing happens with the starter motor.What's up with it? If they're anything like the earlier ones, there's not much to go wrong
Yeah I believe it can be done ---- if you have the equipment. Have watched YouTube vids of someone reconditioning but I have neither the tools nor the expertise to carry out at home.I was looking and there does apear to be repair kits/parts available .... solenoids, bushes, brushes ... everything
miktdish, thanks for your very kind offer, however I have been given a recommendation by a local mechanic who suggested ES Alternators in Kirkintilloch, which is a little closer to home.If you pop round with it i'll take a look.
It likely needs a clean and some new brushes...
