A long time ago I bought a 109 and only recently got round to sorting it out. It only has one Land Rover seat. The centre seat was missing and the passenger seat was a Recaro. I want to reinstate proper Land Rover seats but not sure what I need brackets wise.

I have attached a picture. I have some rails on the seat box. I think I need the square frames too bolt on to these?

That's all mine came with. On the underside of the land rover seat pads were 2 small strips of wood that fitted between the runners you have fitted. I changed them for a complete square of 1/2 inch plywood that was snug fit between runners. They don't move around obviously no adjustment but lets face it they are not built for comfort:)

As Mark says 2 strips of wood fit between the rails. They are then "secured" with a leather strap that fits on the stud on the seatbox.....

The standard seat back has a lug either side which locate in the hole at the top of the bracket.

Thanks for your help everyone. My drivers seat has a frame so I assumed that the other seats needed one.

Do all of the Britpart/Exmoor trim seat backs have the studs on? I can’t see them in the pictures I’ve seen.

Has anyone used the series seats with headrests? This is what I was planning to fit but I’ve read elsewhere that as the seat backs are so short the headrest is too low?

Thanks

I've had the britpart ones, they were same as the deluxe seat back but with head rest added, no issues with height of head rest, its quite tall.

I received my new seat cushions today. I ordered Britpart ones with headrests. However they don’t have the fixing studs on. How are these normally fitted? I haven’t seen the studs available to buy separately.

feel carefully on the lower sides of backs should be a choice of two holes under the leather on each, 6mm bolts generally

Thanks. There’s 3 holes in the sides. Two at the bottom and one at the top. Anyone know which I’m meant to use?

I’m going to try and fit these today. Anyone know which hole I need for a Series 3 before I start guesstimating? The supplier said they don’t come with instructions or fittings. Britpart just ignored me.

Hi T-C
Mine are fitted using the bottom front holes, they seem OK
Regards Mark
Thanks. I got them in. The drivers seat had small blocks that go against the bracket to stop it tipping too far back. I transferred these to the new drivers seat. I don’t have any on the passenger seat and it is resting on the bulkhead. Am I meant to have the blocks on it like the drivers seat?
