Hi all,

The time has come to treat my 109 to some new paint and in order to keep costs down I have been researching roller applied paints such as military vehicle paint and rustoleum paint etc.

Currently it is white all over but the original paint in the cab and under bonnet is that pale green that is common on series landies. I was just going to repaint in white but have decided it would be nice to repaint in the original green together with an off white back.

My first query is the colour. Does anyone know the colour and paint code for that green? I looked on the net and a colour chart for oct 71 (when mine was built) calls it simply light green. I have also seen reference to pastel green (38504A) and wondered if that is the same. Also should the off white back then be done in limestone (38595A)?

If I manage to solve this colour problem can anybody advise on where I could source these colours in a roller applied range?

Hope someone can advise me?

Cheers

Rich

That's great, Many thanks for the reply! Didn't think to check out paddock so good to know they do it.

Im assuming limestone is off white enough to do the back and roof ok?

Yup, limestone for the roof, sides and wheels. Though sometimes they are body colour too (ie pastel green for you), I'm not sure what the difference is though and which is correct...

Cheers guys. Limestone it is for the roof and sides and pastel green for the body then.

Im looking forward to giving the old girl a tidy up! Never thought about retuning to the pastel green until now but ive seen some very tidy landies in that colour and they do look good.

Pastel green is My favorite colour for Series Land Rovers

Good choice. :). Stick some pics up when you put the roller down!
