Hi All

First things first.
I don't own a Series.... :( (Hippo/Gaylander/Freelander whatever you wan't to call it)
Wish I did...

But I do have a passion for them and I can't resist reading all the threads
about them (on LZ) and searching all over the internet for picies and info about them.

So here's a link for anybody that wants some history and info on the series range on wikipedia if your new to a series: ;)

Just to be a compleat sad sod the pictures of the serises 2A are wrong
Picture 1 (1963 Land RoverSeries IIA)
Wrong wheels / tyers / sills / door mirrors (and top door hinge) / missing valance / number plate / Chequer plate .

Picture 2 (A pickup-type series )
Wrong wheels / door mirrors / seats / wheel hubs dont look right.

Picture 3 (1966 Land Rover Series IIa Station Wagon.)
Chequer plate / Seats .
Not sure if they fitted door mirrors on the US export model and i not sure what colour the wheels should be on the US export.

ffs, And I've been accused of being anorak!

What's wrong with the no plate, apart from being black on white?
Don't Series II & Series III hinges have different geometry, so mixing them on the same door will never open nicely, I'd expect it to be stiff to open.

Aye
The number plate should be black and silver.
Never tried mixing the hinges my self and i suspect your right. He has fitted a series 3 hinge on top with the door mirror mount.
I just think that they are just bad photos to put on Wikipedia.
