Trying to get the thing of my series 2a without taking everything else off aswell. Does anyone know a good company that would refurbish it for me??

I am assuming your question is, has someone done a swap with a starter from another model?

I think more info will be needed, like some numbers off the starter??

It's two nuts that hold it on - nothing else apart from the wires that go to it need to come off . Starter motors are between £50 and £80 for the Series last time I looked - not sure that someone could refurbish it for much less? You can buy all the bushings and things for them if you fancy doing it yourself.
